Thisscooterisequippedwithamanuallyoperated
carburetionchokesystem.Theenginechokeleveris
usedtoenrichthefuelmixturewhenstartingthe
enginefromacoldstart.
Whenfirststartingtheengine,(coldstart),placethe
leverinthefullleftposition,(Chokeclosedoron)After
allowingtheenginetowarmupfor15‐20
seconds,
slowlymovetheleverbacktotherightuntiltheengine
idlesdownrunssmooth.
Thelevertothefullrightisthenormaloperation
position.(Chokeopenoroff).
ThrottleControl
Thethrottlecontrolistheright‐handhandlegrip.
Throttleiscontrolledbytwistingthegrip.Thethrottle
controlisspringloadedandsetatthefactorytoreturn
totheidlepositionwhenpressureisreleased.
Toincreasethethrottle,twistthehandlegripina
counterclockwiserotation.Todecreasethrottle,twist
thehandgripinaclockwiserotationorreleaseyour
pressureandallowthethr
ottletoreturnonitsown.
Thethrottlecableshouldbeadjustedsothereis
5‐10mm,(¼"),freetravelofthet hrottlehandgrip
beforethethrottlestartstoopen.
Keepthethrottlecablelubricatedandoperating
smoothly.Ifthecablesticksorishardtooperate,
lubricatethecablebydisconnectingthecablefromthe
throttlehandgripandl
ubricatingwithacommercial
cablelubricantavailableatyourdealer.
Replacethecableifitshowssignsoffrayingor
corrosionoriskinkedorbent.
Toadjustthethrottlecable'sfreeplay,slidethe
protectivecoverdownthecabletoexposethecable
adjustingsystem.Loosenthelockingnu
tandadjust
thecablelengthbyturni
ngtheadjustingcollar.Check
thefreetravelinthethrottlehandgripuntilyouhave
5‐10mm,(
1/4")freetravel.Tightenthelockingnut
againsttheadjustingcollarandslidetheprotective
coverovertheadjustingsystem.
Replacethecableifthereisnoadjustmentremaini ng
ortheproperfreetravelcannotbeobtainedwiththe
adjustmentsystem.
BrakeSystems
FrontandRearBrakes
Thisvehicleisequippedwithfronthydraulicdiscbrake
andarearhydraulicdiscbrake.
Thefrontbrakeiscontrolledbythelongbrakeleveron
theright‐handlebar.Therearbrakeiscontrolledbythe
longleverontheleft‐Handlebar.
